The US Naval Academy Stadium, owned and managed by the Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA), drains stormwater into Weems and College Creeks. Stormwater management for the site was constructed prior to current regulations.
A $40 million renovation of the stadium is in the planning stages. This renovation provides an opportunity for the stadium to make improvements in the following areas:
Add native trees, shrubs, and other plants to improve aesthetics and stormwater management
Reduce impervious surface and improve parking lot runoff
Improve traffic management and pedestrian access
Reduce light pollution
Reduce noise pollution
